The Charlotte Community Library’s collection goes beyond books!
Below is a list of items in the collection. To find or place an item on hold, click here to view our catalog and search the item by name.
All items in this collection need to be checked out on an adult accout. Items check out for a one (1) week period and are not renewable.
Nintendo Switch
Kit includes Nintendo Switch console, two (2) Joy-Con controllers with wrist straps, one (1) Joy-Con grip, dock with AC adapter and HDMI cord all inside a clear bag. Switch games are checked out separately.
Meta Quest 3 VR Headset
Kit includes Meta Quest 3 VR headset, two (2) Touch Plus controllers, an AC adapter and a carry case.
Hotspots
Nine (9) hotspots are available for check-out on an adult account.
Laptops
Three (3) second generation Surface Go laptops available for check-out on an adult account.
Soprano Ukulele for Beginners
One (1) Soprano Ukulele that is suitable for music lovers of all ages. Kit includes one (1) ukulele, one (1) strap, one (1) string tuner and picks all in a carrying case.
Victrola Turntable
One (1) Victrola turntable with built in speakers and comes with power cord. Records checked out separately.
Impression 5 Science Center Passes
Four (4) Impression 5 Science Center passes available. Each pass provides free admission for four (4) people but special events may have extra charges. Only one (1) pass may be checked out at a time.
Eaton County Park Passes
Three (3) Eaton County park passes available. Only one (1) pass is needed for all attendees and passes provide free motor vehicle entry.
Potter Park Zoo Passes
Four (4) Potter Park Zoo passes available. Passes provide free entry and free parking; only one (1) pass is required for all attendees.
2-in-1 Tic-Tac-Toe & Checkers
A 2-in-1 giant Tic-Tac-Toe and checkers game mat. The game includes a four (4) foot by four (4) foot mat that is reversable and 24 foam discs to play either Tic-Tac-Toe or Checkers!
Yardzee Dice
A set of giant wooden yard dice used for Yardzee or Yardkle. Bag includes six (6) large wooden dice, two (2) laminated score sheets, one (1) dry erase marker and a collapsible plastic bucket.
Disc Golf Kit
One (1) disc golf kit available. Kit includes one (1) foldable disc golf target, 3 dices and instruction in a traveling bag.
Axe Throwing with Throwing Stars
Throwing kit includes one (1) target, eight (8) safety axes and eight (8) throwing stars. Note: the target is large (60 x 33 x 24 inches).
Jumbo Index Waterproof Playing Cards
One (1) set of LotFancy jumbo index playing cards that are waterproof.
Yahtzee
The classic shake and score dice game!
Candy Land
Candy Land board game for ages three (3) and older.
Original Memory Game
A card game of visual recall designed for one (1) or more players ages three (3) to six (6) years old.
Hunt A Killer Board Games
Hunt A Killer are a immersive murder mystery games where you are the detective. Told through realistic clues, intricate puzzles and complex ciphers. The Library currently has two (2) titles: Death at the Dive Bar and Murder at the Motel.
Metal Detector Kit
Kit includes one (1) metal detector, one (1) foldable shovel and one (1) earphone all in a carrying case. The detector is waterproof to perform shallow water detection.
Blood Pressure Monitor
Upper arm blood pressure monitor includes one (1) digital monitor, one (1) wide-range D-ring cuff fitting 9″ – 17″ circumference, instruction manual and quick start guide.
Car Diagnostic Tool
Car diagnostic tool helps you to determine the cause of the engine. Kit includes the diagnostice device and instruction booklet.
STEM Kits
Ask the circulation desk to check out one of these kits.

Launchpads
The Launchpads are located at the end of the Non-fiction section in the Children’s room.
Launchpads must be checked out on an Adult card. The limit is two kits per account at one time.
The tablets are loaned out for 7 days. They may not be renewed.

Certain Launchpads do not come with a charging block.Â
