Spotlight Programs

Fridays 10:00 - 10:30am at AL!VE - Begins April 17
Stories & Stretches at AL!VE is a basic introduction to children’s yoga. On Fridays from 10:00am until 10:30am beginning April 17 through May 22, this program develops early literacy and social-emotional skills by engaging with books through yoga-inspired poses, shapes, and stretches. This is a drop in program for children ages 2Â to 6 at AL!VE.

Saturday, April 25th at 1:00pm
More Sparks from the Inner Flame: A Writing Workshop led by Lansing Poet Laureate Rulaine Stokes will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 1:00pm in the Spartan Room. This is a drop-in adult program.

Thursday, April 30th at 5:30pm
Beaded insect and arachnids adult craft is taking place on Thursday, April 30th at 5:30pm. Pre-registration is required.

Monday, May 4th at 11:00am
Bring your little one to the Library for a fun, informal playdate designed to build social skills, creativity, and early literacy through the power of play. A variety of age-appropriate toys and activities will be provided while caregivers have the chance to connect and socialize with other families.
This program takes place on the first Monday of each month from 11:00am until 12:00pm and is drop in program for children ages 0-5 years with their caregiver. Siblings welcome!

The Library Board meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00pm.
