What’s in style? What’s not? Men’s fashion has changed considerably over the last 250 years, and can tell us a lot about the men who wear the clothes! Andrew Kercher presentation examines the ever changing world of men’s fashion.Â
Join us on Saturday, November 7th at 1:00pm at the Charlotte Community Library for Beau Brummel to Skinny Jeans: A 200 Year History of Men’s Fashion with Andrew Kercher.
Thursday, November 12th at 1:00pm
Join us for the Library’s techy afternoons and learn about Libby by Overdrive. Staff will provide a basic overview and setup on Thursday, November 12th at 1:00pm. Attendees should come with their device, library card number, and password.
Libby by Overdrive is a mobile app that allows library card holders to borrow ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines on their phone or tablet.
Wednesday, November 18th at 5:00pm
Quiet Book Club is a book club for introverts! Come for the quiet, stay for the company. The first Quiet Book Club is on Wednesday, November 18 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
For the first hour, participants are invited to find a comfy spot anywhere in the library to just read in the company of others. At 6:00pm, join a discussion table either the one dedicated to the monthly CharLit book pick or an open discussion table to converse about any book you are currently reading.
Don’t feel like talking? No problem, you are welcome to continue reading until the library closes at 7:00pm.
Wednesday, November 25th @ 1:00pm
Join us at the Charlotte Community Library to start your Thanksgiving holiday off with an afternoon movie on Wednesday, November 25th at 1:00pm! We will be showing the PG-13 movie, Son-in-Law. Light refreshments will be provided.
Curbside Pickup
Curbside service is available Monday through Friday, 9am to 6:30pm, and Saturday, 10am to 1:30pm. Please call the library at least 30 minutes before your desired pick-up time.

Technology assistance is now available through Book A Librarian. Call 517-543-8859 to schedule an appointment up to one hour in length.
