“We Read Library Books” Yard Sign Campaign

We hear from many patrons that they wish everyone knew how the Charlotte Community Library enriches their lives and helps them to solve day-to-day challenges. Everyone expects the Library to have a great selection of books. Most people know you can count on the Library when you’re tracking down tax forms or need to make a copy or a fax. A lot of people know about fun things you can borrow at no extra charge like movies and family passes for Eaton County Parks, Potter Park Zoo, and now Impression 5 Science Center. You can even check out laptops and hotspots for connecting on the go. And children and adults alike enjoy our book clubs, classes and other activities offered throughout the year. It turns out that there are as many ways to love your Library as there are people using it!

As we thought about all that “Library Love” out there, we decided to make October a month where everyone can show their neighbors, friends, family, and our community as a whole the value and affection we have for this Library. So, we are hosting a “We Read Library Books” Yard Sign Campaign. Patrons may pick up a complimentary yard sign at the Circulation Desk to proudly display in their yard throughout the month of October. Just think of the warm fuzzies you’re going to get as you walk, ride, or drive around, coming across people all over the area who love your Library as much as you do!

But wait, it gets even better! Through the generosity of small businesses in our community, they have donated prizes to be awarded every day throughout October. By declaring your love of reading library books through displaying the yard sign, you are automatically entered in the random, daily drawings. Our community sponsors have been very generous; we have some amazing prizes heading out to families all over the area. We are so excited to watch our “We Read Library Books” yard signs sprout on lawns all over! Through the generosity of a donation from the Friends of Charlotte Community Library, we have been able to have double the original amount of yard signs printed. We expect everyone is going to want to participate and we don’t want you to miss out. Stop in to the Library today to register for a yard sign. And get ready for our best October yet!
