The Charlotte Community Library is committed to helping our greater community connect to the information it needs. After learning from Pottervilla, the Libraries’ IT partner, that the recently upgraded Library wireless signal could reach the Beach Market, the Library sought to provide WiFi access at this important community hub. This collaborative community project would not have been possible if not for partnering with Charlotte Rotary, who paid for the equipment and work to be done, and with a representative from the city and the Friends of the Beach Market.

The WiFi is part of the library’s public network. It will be available daily from 6am-9pm, same as on the Library premises. To access it, select “Charlotte-Library” in your device’s settings. A page will pop up asking you to agree to the Library’s terms of service. Then you are connected and ready to go. This network is filtered as per the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA).

Beach Market

The Library thanks all our community partners who pulled together and made this project attainable. Working together, we are striving to realize positive community impact.
